The Little Dog was founded with the spirit of friendship and community in 2004, built by best friends Jim and Andy as a dedicated space in Boulder, Colorado, for local glassblowers to showcase and sell their art.

Since then, we've grown into a prominent destination for locally-made glass pipes and high-quality tobacco products. With locations in Longmont, and Broomfield Colorado, our decades long mission has always been to provide our customers with outstanding service and exceptional, locally handcrafted items that are durable, made with quality materials, and celebrate local craftsmanship.

As the creators of our playful logo with a little dog outsmarting a big dog, we love how it's become a favorite symbol nationwide. This logo symbolizes what The Little Dog stands for—supporting local communities and choosing small businesses over big corporations. It has been lovingly nicknamed by locals as "the humping dog".

We've been giving out free stickers of our playful logo for decades, and you can still stop by the shop and get one today. It's thrilling to see them pop up not only in Colorado but all over the nation, and they've even been spotted overseas!

Poca was a cherished member of The Little Dog's leadership team from our opening in 2004 until her passing in 2023. Intriguingly, due to her rough early years as a street pup, her exact birthdate is unknown, but it's estimated to align with our very first store opening on December 4, 2004, making her an integral part of our story.
